Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) – Substance Misuse Service
Location: Tyne & Wear
Pay: £55 per hour (Umbrella) / £45 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm)
Contract: 2 months (with strong likelihood of extension)

We are currently recruiting for a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a specialist Substance Misuse Service in the Tyne & Wear area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NMP to provide high-quality care and support to service users with drug and alcohol misuse issues.
Role Responsibilities:

• Delivering prescribing services to clients within a substance misuse setting.
• Conducting assessments and reviews of patients with complex needs.
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective treatment.
• Supporting harm reduction initiatives and evidence-based interventions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and clinical standards.

Requirements:

• Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber with current registration.
• Experience working within substance misuse services.
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively.
