Are you an experienced Children’s Team Manager with a passion for making a difference? Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a skilled and motivated professional to lead their Children & Families Team based in Stroud. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dedicated team of Social Workers delivering vital services to children, young people and families. They also offer accommodation or mileage expenses of up to £150.00 per wee (terms and conditions apply).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of qualified Social Workers delivering statutory services
• Provide effective supervision, performance management and quality assurance
• Oversee complex cases involving Child Protection, Children in Need, Children in Care and court proceedings
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice and child-centred work
• Support with team development and cohesion through strong leadership

What are Gloucestershire looking for from a Locum TM

• Proven experience managing a frontline children's social work team
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and court work
• Ability to work flexibly between office and remote environments
