Valuations Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for 2 x Property / Valuation Surveyors to join their Estates Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and estates management environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to carry out general practice surveying duties with a particular focus on asset valuations, disposals of land and property, and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Provide valuation, estates management and surveying advice to Council departments and promote the corporate use of property assets.
• Assist with acquisitions and disposals of land and property assets.
• Support the undertaking of statutory valuations, subject to MRICS/Registered Valuer sign-off.
• Provide technical and professional advice on property-related matters.
• Contribute to land and premises reviews to support Council priorities.
• Support the Estates Manager and Principal Estates Surveyor as required.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• NQF Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) or NQF Level 5 (e.g. HND/Foundation Degree) with significant experience in property/valuation surveying.
• Evidence of equivalent knowledge gained through work experience will also be considered.
• Ideally, status as a Registered Valuer (RICS), although this is not essential.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience of asset valuations, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and deadlines.
• Good understanding of estates management within the public sector.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £400 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £340 – £355 per day PAYE).
