Mike Pollard

Head of Division

About Mike

Firstly, how long have you been with Service Care?

I joined in November 2018.

Give us a brief overview of your professional background...

I have been with SCS for 8 and a half years starting as a Trainee Consultant to now being Head of Division of two teams. I manage the Criminal Justice Team who specialise in Substance Misuse, Forensic Mental Health, Police, Offender Healthcare and Offender Support, we are a market leading team of specialists who understand the sector with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the needs of both candidates and managers alike. I also lead the Sales and Business Support division which specialises in working with our clients to provide the best sales and customer service professionals within the market place. Prior to working with SCS I had a career within the Leisure industry working with a number of the major gym brands within the UK.

And what does your day-to-day role involve?

I support the Team Leaders within the division to help grow their teams and progress their careers through training and coaching, whilst passing on my years of recruitment experience. I am heavily involved in the Business Development aspects of the two divisions as we continue to identify new clients to work.

What is your favourite quote/best piece of advice you've ever been given?

Don't worry about what you cannot control, focus on what you can and make the most of it.

If you weren't in recruitment, what would you be doing?

A lot fitter than I am still working in the leisure industry!

Lastly, if you're not in work, where can we find you?

Spending time with my family, going out for food and enjoying a good film or series.
